Expansion was the only solution for the increased growth of traffic and passenger at the airport. Construction of a new terminal is now on-going; this will enable the airport to handle up to 14 million passengers. New runways and upgrades are also being made to better serve the public.

Air Arabia, Air China, Air India, Air France, British Airways, EgyptAir, Etihad Airways, FlyDubai, Gulf Air, Indian Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airways, Sri Lankan Airlines and United Airlines are some of the international airlines that operate to and from Kuwait.

Airport Shopping

Once you’re at the Kuwait International Airport, you can shop till you drop in the enormous 32,000 square meter Commercial Center. Next to the arrival hall, you can go directly to the mall. There are over 180 shops, restaurants, banks and hotels situated in Airport Commercial Center making it a true shopper’s paradise.

Airport Parking

Kuwait Airport ParkingParking is rarely a problem as short-term and long-term parking is available. Immediately adjacent to the Airport Commercial Center, a multi-storey car park can be used. And next to the Arrival Hall, a street-level car park can be found. Kuwait Taxi Service and buses are easily accessible for the travelers. Limousine Services are available too. It is wise to book taxi seats in the taxi desk found across the ground floor. Meanwhile, you can also try the bus which leaves every 45 minutes. By bus, it will take 30 minutes of travel time to reach the city.
